Personal:
Dr. Woodruff was raised in Owensville, Ohio (near Cincinnati).  Dr. Woodruff has three children; the oldest, Stacey is the Chief of General Surgery at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Texas; her sister, Heather, is a resident in the surgery program at Parkland, and son, Sean, is in dental school at Indiana University.  Dr. Woodruff and wife Patti enjoy gourmet cooking, which they share with friends.  He is also a private pilot with an instrument rating.  Patti recently completed a “Pinch Hitter” course so she can land a plane in an emergency!  She also helps out in the cockpit with charts, tuning radios, and copying instructions from air traffic controllers.
